Discussions on Polish-German cooperation in energy transformation are starting once again, with a loophole allowing Russia to earn a billion  euros from the sale of fossil fuels to the EU, and with trolls  combating climate policy.

Poland is talking with the UK about cooperation and exchange of experience in the energy sector. „We look forward to continuing to work with the British people on green technologies and new solutions to fossil fuel dependency,” Climate and Environment Minister Paulina Hennig – Kloska said at a meeting with the British Embassy.

During the Baltic Nuclear Energy Forum in Gdańsk Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment Miłosz Motyka explained the schedule of the Polish Nuclear Energy Program (PPEJ). „The update of the Polish Nuclear Energy Program (PPEJ) is expected by the end of this year,” he said.

Poland will receive EUR 8.5 billion under the European Climate and Environment Infrastructure Fund. Around 590 million will go to the RES sector.

The Ministry of Climate and Environment is waiting for municipalities that are interested in the construction of a radioactive waste landfill. The plant is to be part of the accompanying infrastructure for the first nuclear power plant in Poland. Applications can be submitted until June 30, 2024.
