Orlen has launched a program to help flood victims

Orlen Group has launched a special program called “We are together,” to which it has so far donated 35 million zlotys. The funds, among other things, finance fuel for services fighting the flood, allow for the removal of its consequences and support for those affected by the natural disaster.

Orlen invests in micro photovoltaic installations

Orlen is planning to build 40 photovoltaic micro-installations of about 20 to 50 kWp on the shelters and roofs of its fuel stations, including those in Białystok, Bydgoszcz, Gdansk, Krakow, Poznan, Warsaw, Wroclaw and Szczecin. The corporation has announced procurement proceedings related to the project.

Orlen started oil production in the North Sea

PGNiG Upstream Norway of the Orlen Group has begun producing oil from the Tyrving field in the North Sea, whose reserves are estimated at around 25 million barrels. Their production will be carried out with exceptionally low CO2 emissions of 0.3 kg per barrel, the company said on Tuesday.

Orlen wants to increase green capacity

The Orlen Group plans to increase its capacity in the renewable energy sector by about a third. Orlen Wind 3, a member of the Orlen Group, has signed a preliminary agreement with EDP Renewables Polska for the purchase of two photovoltaic farms with a total capacity of 280 MWp located in Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie voivodeships and a wind farm with a capacity of 26 MW in the Łódzkie voivodeship.

Orlen shareholders go to court over refusal to grant discharge
