„The Climate Ministry plans to present a draft onshore wind farm bill by the end of the first quarter of this year,” Minister of Climate and Environment Paulina Hennig – Kloska told Radio ZET on Tuesday. The head of the ministry said that the project, which was presented at the end of last year, was „a mistake.”

It should be mentioned that at the end of 2023, the MPs of the Civic Coalition and Poland 2050 submitted to the Sejm a draft amendment to the laws to support electricity and gas customers. The law set the distance of wind turbines from nature reserves or national parks at no less than 300 meters, which many activists considered too „far-reaching” changes. Eventually, the new government withdrew from the bill.

„This law has already changed, because we continued to work on it with lawyers, including from the Legislative Office of the Sejm, but also in a group of MPs. We made amendments, so it has evolved. There was never such a desire to abolish 500 m as the minimum limit for large wind turbines, it was a mistake that should have not been included in the law. There will be a limit,” she added.
