Energy policy adopted by the management of the Ministry of Energy
The state’s energy policy has been developed and adopted by the management of the Ministry of Energy and will be presented to the Council of Ministers, said the deputy minister of energy Tadeusz Skobel.
– The energy policy was developed and was adopted by the ministry’s management, also the energy mix was prepared and adopted and will be presented to the council of ministers in this formula. After the acceptance of this document, it will be possible to publish more widely – said Skobel during the meeting of the Sejm Commission on Energy and Treasury.
Deputy Minister of Energy Tomasz Dąbrowski said in September that the energy policy of the state and the national plan for energy and climate should be ready at the same time this year.
LNG is losing competitiveness
The growing demand for gas in China may inflate LNG prices. This is good news for sellers and worse for customers outside Asia, like Poland.
Demand for LNG will drive cold fall in Europe and Europeans’ commitment to energy transformation. However, they have alternatives that are growing in importance due to the increasingly less competitive prices of liquefied gas: supplies from Russia, Norway and North Africa. This is a problem for the LNG terminal in Świnoujście reserved by PGNiG. The alternative for Poles is supplies from the German stock exchange and from Russia. In the future, it will be supplies from Norway thanks to the Baltic Pipe gas pipeline.
