A deal on nuclear civil sector cooperation between Poland and USA was signed during U.S. Secretary of State visit to Poland.
Polish plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure Piotr Naimski signed a deal with Secretary Mike Pompeo during his visit to Poland on 15th of August. – A deal will make it possible for Poland to use United States’ experience from government and entrepreneur sectors in Polish Nuclear Energy Program (PPEJ) – informs Chancellery of Polish Prime Minister.
In June 2019 Poland and United States signed a memorandum on civic nuclear energy cooperation. Poland is to update PPEJ. The new project envisages building up to 9 GW of nuclear energy with help from one, chosen partner. It is said that Americans are most probable option.
