Progress on oil deliveries from Poland to Belarus
According to the executive director of the Belarusian crude oil transmission network operator, all technical aspects related to reverse oil supplies from Poland to Belarus have been agreed.
Oleg Borisenko was interviewed by the Westnik Belnaftachim magazine. Among the topics of the talks there was an assurance about the prospects of oil supplies to Belarus from Poland.
– All regulations have been agreed with the Polish operator of the Druzhba, PERN pipeline. Western partners are ready to supply alternative crude oil to the border of our country on the Gdańsk-Płock-Adamowo section, the issue is only about the quantity – there are some restrictions – said Oleg Borisenko, executive director of Gomeltransneft Druzhba.
Borisenko emphasized that there are already regular oil deliveries via the Ukrainian transmission system to the Mozyr refinery. One of the priority projects implemented by the company this year is the construction of the Homel-Gorki oil pipeline, which will connect the refineries in Mozyr with the Refinery in Nowopołock. Work on the construction of the pipeline is scheduled to begin in the fall. There are 200 km of pipes to be laid.
BiznesAlert.pl received a comment from PERN regarding Belarusian declarations:
– Currently, PERN is working on the reverse of the pipeline between Płock and Adamów, which is scheduled to end in 2020. The aim of the project is to increase the flexibility of the company’s logistic network and to improve Poland’s energy security. The reverse on the eastern section of the „Przyjaźń” pipeline gives us the possibility of flexible and two-way oil transmission between bases in order to fully service our customers without any disruptions – the release reads.
– We would also like to add that we do not comment on our business relations – informed PERN in a message for BiznesAlert.pl.
