What goes in Poland on 30th of November.

No deal on Turów yet

Poland has invited the Czech Republic to discuss the Turów lignite mine issue in Warsaw. A new government in Prague is now being established.
Poland and Czechia have held 18 rounds of negotiations on the dispute over the Turów mine. The Czechs claim that Poland prolonged an extraction license in Turów in a way that broke the EU law. The European Court of Justice imposed a penalty of EUR 500 thousand per day on Poland for not closing down the mine for the time of proceedings.

Poland’s new Climate and Environment Minister Anna Moskwa hoped for the negotiations to conclude quickly, however a new government under the leadership of Peter Fiala has not been created yet. The deadline is the 13th of December.

Fresh money for e-mobility and hydrogen infrastructure in Poland

The Polish National Fund of Environmental Protection and Water Management will release to the market non-returnable grants for a new e-mobility charging and hydrogen fueling infrastructure worth PLN 870 mln (around EUR 200 mln).

The new subsidies are to be available until the end of 2025 or until they run out. The program will provide over 17,000 new charging e-mobility points and 20 hydrogen fuel stations. Those grants are dedicated to companies, local governments and farmers.
