Poland will have two floating gas terminals if necessary

The government’s plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure, Piotr Naimski, dispels technical doubts. Poland will have two FSRU units, so-called floating gas terminals, if there is a demand for a second.

– Design works are already underway on the gas pipeline connecting the FSRU with the transmission system. Environmental approvals have been obtained. This connecting gas pipeline is planned for perhaps even 12 billion cubic meters. gas – admitted the guest of the conference. – The first of the regasification units will have the capacity of 6 billion cubic meters. We will decide about the second one as needed. We have a flexible approach to these investments so that they can be enlarged if necessary – said Piotr Naimski.

Grupa Azoty: Poland has no problem with gas availability

– Diversification of gas supplies to Poland, high level of filling of the warehouses make us feel safe. The second element is the contract with PGNiG. This gives us contractual security. We have no problem with the availability of gas, said Filip Grzegorczyk, member of the Grupa Azoty Management Board during OSE 2022 in Gdańsk.

– The Grupa Azoty Group is the largest natural gas consumer. We are the largest client of PGNiG. At the moment, we do not diagnose any problems with gas availability. This is due to two elements. The first is the question of infrastructure. The diversification of gas supplies to Poland, the high level of filling of the warehouses make us feel safe. The second element is the contract with PGNiG. This gives us contractual security. We have no problem with the availability of gas, said Filip Grzegorczyk.
