Companies request 18 percent increase in energy prices later this year

The WysokieNapiecie.pl portal revealed that the electricity companies: Tauron, Enea and Energa have applied for an increase in the tariff for households in 2022. According to the scoop, Tauron had requested a 6 percent raise. BiznesAlert.pl determined that the remaining companies applied for increases anywhere between 12 and 18 percent. They can introduce the new prices up to 45 days after the positive decision of the Energy Regulatory Office, which takes into account record prices on the stock market, but also social. Energy tariffs for households in 2022 were raised by the Energy Regulatory Office, increasing the cost of the bill by 24 percent.

The last onshore section of the Baltic Pipe is ready for use

The Office of Technical Inspection (UDT )has given consent to operate the last onshore section of the Baltic Pipe in Poland. It is a 41-kilometer long gas pipeline on the Niechorze-Płoty line. – The construction of the Baltic Pipe, a key investment that will ensure the diversification of gas supply sources for Poland, is coming to an end. Tests and commissioning are currently underway on gas pipelines and onshore facilities in the country. We thank all external institutions and their employees involved in this process. Thanks to good cooperation, the investment will be completed on time, i.e. by October 1 this year – said Tomasz Stępień, president of Gaz-System.

The Niechorze-Płoty gas pipeline is divided into two separate sections, DN900 – 4.5 km and DN1000 – 36.5 km. 10 special trials were carried out prior to issuing the UDT assessment. The tests confirm the operational capacity and technical efficiency for the entire onshore section of the Baltic Pipe in Poland.
