Poland wants to import more coal through ports in the Baltic states

Poland will look for the possibility of importing coal through other ports located on the Baltic Sea, such as Riga or Klaipeda, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Rafał Weber informed on Tuesday.

– The Council of Ministers expresses the will to intensify activities related to the inflow of coal to Poland. We point out that we will not only carry out the activities related to the transport of coal through Polish ports, but we will also look for opportunities to expand the capacity, for example via the Baltic ports in Riga or Klaipeda, Weber said. He explained that at a meeting on Tuesday, the government agreed to the adoption of such a draft resolution.
