The update to the wind turbine law that will change the minimum distance to 500 meters is to be consulted and then addressed in Q3 2024.

“The blockade of wind energy also jeopardized Poland’s energy security. The wind farm bill will be debated soon. It has been approved by the leaders of the ministry. This will be a government bill for discussion with the industry that bases its knowledge on action rather than superstition. I think that in a few weeks we will be able to talk about this law,” said Deputy Minister of Climate Miłosz Motyka at PSEW 2014.

The Minister expressed his desire that the act in its new edition be the subject of work “in the next quarter of 2024”. The goal is to update the bill to restore the original minimum 500 m distance from buildings. This is the distance that the previous government had agreed upon with the business, but then reneged on its promise when the ruling party’s MP Marek Suski changed it due to a deal as part of the United Right coalition.
