Azerbaijan and Poland can invest in renewable energy together

Wind energy, biofuels or solar energy may be potential areas of cooperation between Poland and Azerbaijan – said Andrzej Fąfara from the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Azeri agency Trend.

– Poland has great potential for cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources and green technologies. Poland is successfully diversifying the supply of fossil fuels, and the share of renewable energy sources in our energy mix is constantly growing – said Fąfara.

He also noted that companies should make economic decisions based on the profit perspective. Fąfara emphasized that Poland supports the construction of the Southern Gas Corridor from Azerbaijan through Georgia and Turkey to the European Union. Azerbaijan plans to generate 50 percent of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2050.
