The Baltic Pipe team will deal with the expansion of the LNG terminal
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has extended the scope of competence of the Inter-Ministerial Team for the Implementation of Baltic Pipe Projects. It is also responsible for the expansion of the gas terminal in Świnoujście, including the construction of the third tank.
The regulation of the Prime Minister is in force from November 30. After the changes the team is also responsible for ensuring coordination of government administration bodies and their cooperation with local government authorities and other entities involved in the implementation of the project for the expansion of the LNG terminal in Świnoujście.”
The design of the expansion of the gasport assumes an increase in its capacity from the current 5,5 to 7,5 billion cubic meters, the construction of a third LNG tank along with the required installations and equipment; construction of a second ship station and LNG transmission infrastructure for unloading, loading and bunkering of ships as well as expansion of the LNG land transhipment system (LNG transshipment infrastructure for railway tankers and ISO containers). On November 23, the operator of the terminal in Świnoujście announced the commencement of work on the announcement of a tender for the extension of the installation.
