Undersecretary of State Miłosz Motyka has spoken about the development of onshore wind energy. He said the 500 m compromise for onshore wind energy was the optimum. At the same time, he announced the development of energy storage facilities.

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Climate and Environment Miłosz Motyka declared that the compromise of 500 meters in wind energy was appropriate.

„We will unlock wind power on land. [ … ] We believe that 500 meters is the optimal distance. Instead of the 10h ban, I would rather talk about about 10k benefits,” Motyka said.

He also declared that Donald Tusk’s government will invest in energy storage as it is necessary to ensure power generation based on renwables is stable.

The compromise of 500 metres will be the minimum distance between a wind farm and buildings. The declaration of Minister Motyka was made at a joint meeting of the Committee on Climate and Environment and the Committee on National Economy and Innovation. At the meeting a discussion was held about changes in the law, which should apply to  renewable energy.
