Poland talks with Germany about the development of electromobility
Challenges and opportunities for the development of electric vehicles in Poland were the main topic of the first meeting of the Polish-German electromobility platform. Minister of Climate Michał Kurtyka took part in the event.
The talks concerned the directive on alternative fuels infrastructure, which is to be submitted by the Commission in 2020, which requires close cooperation between Poland and Germany. – I hope that we will find common ground to provide the best possible solutions for the European transport sector – said Minister Michał Kurtyka. – Standardizing tax breaks throughout the EU, introducing measures to withdraw high-emission vehicles from the transport sector, and clear regulations that allow the safe development and operation of electricity networks are the most important issues, he added.
Energy and 5G at the meeting of Duda and Trump
The President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda will meet his American counterpart Donald Trump on June 24 at the White House. One of the subjects will be cooperation in the field of energy.
Trump’s press office said the presidents would talk about defense cooperation, trade, energy and telecommunications security. It can therefore be suspected that the issues of US troops stationing in Poland, gas and nuclear cooperation and 5G will be raised.
