Energy Committee’s green light for a billion zloty to restructure mines

The Sejm Committee on Energy, Climate and State Assets gave a positive opinion on the draft budget for 2024 with about PLN 1 billion designated for restructuring mines.

The Committee gave its opinion on the budget in the area within its competence. The MPs supported the spending and revenue plan for 2024, including a billion zlotys on restructuring mines and about three billion from state-owned companies.

The Public Finance Committee will be collecting the opinions of its counterparts in various fields until 5 January. On January 10, the second reading of the draft budget is to be held, and the vote after the third reading will take place on January 12. The Senate has until January 22 to consider the bill and on January 29 to submit it for signature to the President of the Republic of Poland.
