EU’s PHOENIX to bankroll Poland’s green energy

Poland will receive EUR 8.5 billion under the European Climate and Environment Infrastructure Fund. Around 590 million will go to the RES sector.

During the Energy Transition Conference Marta Babicz, Deputy Director of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, spoke about the funds received from the European Fund for Infrastructure Climate Environment (PHOENIX ). According to Babicz, Poland is to receive 8.5 billion euros from this source. Of this, 590 million will be invested in renewable energy.

The PHOENIX Program is designed to improve the conditions for the development of the country through the construction of technical and social infrastructure. It aims to reduce the carbon intensity of the economy and carry out its transformation towards climate neutrality.
