Final batch of Abrams tanks arrives in Poland

The fourth and final delivery of the American M1A1 tanks arrived in Poland on June 26, 2024. Thus ended the contract concluded in January 2023.

The General Staff has announced the Polish Army has received the fourth and final batch of the M1A1 Abrams tanks. The delivery included 47 main battle tanls and 26 M1152A1B2 Armored High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicles. This is the last stage of the contract concluded on January 4, 2023.

The first fourteen Abrams tanks arrived in Poland on June 28, 2023, along with three M88 Hercules Recovery Vehicles. Another 21 tanks and nine Hercules vehicles arrived on November 21, 2023, on the Tank and Automotive Services day. The third batch arrived on January 6, 2024 and included 29 tanks.

On April 5, 2022, Poland signed a contract for the supply of a newer version of the M1A2 tanks.
