Poland supports investments in Ukraine. Warsaw Enterprise Institute has launched the Polish Service for the Reconstruction of Ukraine offices in the country.

„Polish-Ukrainian social relations have never been as good as they are today and it would be a sin if we did not take advantage of this. We want to show our great readiness and determination for the implementation of joint projects,” said Jadwiga Emilewicz, Government Plenipotentiary for Polish-Ukrainian Development Cooperation.

The Deputy Head of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy explained that for the safety of Polish investors who want to participate in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine, instruments are being prepared to protect their activities in this country.

Adam Eberhardt, Director of the Center for Strategic Studies at the Warsaw Enterprise Institute, said that the offices of the Reconstruction Service of Ukraine will operate in Kyiv, Lviv, Lutsk and Vinnytsia.

„We want to be there to support Polish entrepreneurs in establishing contacts and monitor investment needs. We are creating a platform for dialogue between Polish and Ukrainian businesses, but also a platform for dialogue with the participation of development institutions, state and local governments. The presence on the ground, not only in Kiev but also in other regions of Ukraine, can be a competitive advantage for Poland,” he stressed.

During a two-day visit to Ukraine, minister Emilewicz will be meeting with the authorities of Lviv and Lutsk to discuss planned investment projects in western Ukraine „and possible Polish participation” in them, said the Ministry.

During these meetings, the parties will talk about the possibilities of cooperation between companies and local and regional governments or potential partnerships of Polish companies with Ukrainian companies in projects related to reconstruction in this region.
