The Prime Minister has announced that the decision on the Government Plenipotentiary for Strategic Energy Infrastructure would be made next week.

Until now, the plenipotentiary has supervised the companies managing the transmission infrastructure: Gaz-System, PERN and PSE, as well as the Polish Nuclear Power Plants responsible for nuclear projects. However, after the change of government, no new representative was appointed. The PM has announced a decision would be made on the mater.

„Please do not worry about critical infrastructure because it has supervision whether there is a plenipotentiary or not. Next week we will make a decision whether it will be individual ministries that will handle this or if we will appoint a plenipotentiary. If the arguments for keeping the plenipotentiary prevail, next week you will know the name,” the Prime Minister said at a press conference.

BiznesAlert.pl has previously reported that in the next few days the plenipotentiary will be appointed and among the candidates there are Maciej Bando, former president of the Energy Regulatory Office.
