Gaz-System: There will not be any problem with Baltic Pipe and Nord Stream 2 crossing

There will be no problem with Baltic Pipe and Nord Stream 2 crossing. Gaz-System responsible for undersea part of Baltic Pipe pipeline signed agreement with their Russian counterpart – informs Gazeta Wyborcza.

– At the end of last year we agreed on crossing Baltic Pipe with undersea infrastructure and signed part of the deals in this matter. Agreements with Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 operators were signed in December 2019 – informed Gaz-System CEO, Tomasz Stępień, quoted by Gazeta Wyborcza.

Baltic Pipe pipeline connecting Norway, Denmark and Poland is to be ready until October 2022. At the same time Nord Stream 2 should be ready. That means that Baltic Pipe would need to cross Nord Stream 2 and, to do that, consult the technical agreement on crossing. Having agreements in place there is no risk of any delay connected to this issue.
