On December 19, 2019, the President of the Energy Regulatory Office gave a decision specifying the content of the entrustment contract concluded by GAZ-SYSTEM and TGPS EuRoPol GAZ, relating to operator’s duties applied to the Yamal Gas Pipeline.
Following December 31, 2019, pursuant to the provisions of the contract, GAZ- SYSTEM will act as the transmission system operator within the Polish section of the Yamal-Western Europe Transit Gas Pipelines System, owned by TGPS EuRoPol GAZ. The contract becomes effective as of January 1, 2020 and will be valid until December 31, 2022. The entry into force upon the decision of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office results from the fact that the parties had not concluded the subsequent entrustment contract 90 days prior to the termination of the present one.
In compliance with the EU regulations (network codes) and national laws,GAZ-SYSTEM is obliged to guarantee capacities within the gas pipelines managed by the company, based on transparent and non-discriminatory principles. Bookings are made at auctions, in accordance with the rules, specified in details in the Transmission Network Code of Polish Section of the Jamal Pipeline (TNC TGPS). Currently, GAZ-SYSTEM has already been providing non-booked capacity in the Yamal Pipeline, basing on the aforesaid rules.
In the gas year 2019/2020, May 16, 2020 is the expiration date for the historical contract for gas transmission through the Yamal Gas Pipeline, concluded by EuRoPol GAZ s.a. and Gazprom Export. Therefore, auctions delivered through GSA Platform by an independent operator handling the Polish section of the Yamal-Western Europe Gas Pipeline (GAZ-SYSTEM) for the gas year 2019/2020, will offer full capacity of the TGPS Mallnow exit point and TGPS Kondratki entry point, within auctions for midday, daily, monthly and quarterly products.
