Kaczyński supports one Ministry of the Environment and the PKN Orlen-PGNiG merger

Jarosław Kaczyński, the President of Law and Justice, gave an interview to the Polish Press Agency. He announced a government reconstruction assuming the concentration of environmental competences in one ministry, the construction of a multi-energy concern with the participation of PKN Orlen.

Kaczyński announced that the reconstruction of the government between September and October will lead to a reduction in the number of ministries. – The point is that it should not be as it is today, that certain decisions relating, for example, to environmental protection are in three different ministries, because it does not lead to anything good – he assessed.

– I am very grateful to Daniel Obajtek (president of PKN Orlen – editor’s note) for the energetic conduct of everything. I definitely and unequivocally support these actions – said the president of PiS about building a multi-energy concern thanks to the acquisition of Energia and the planned acquisition of PGNiG. According to the president, this action is part of the plan for the development of innovative branches of the economy. In this context, he mentioned electric and hydrogen transport.
