Minister of Climate at the Youth Climate Council meeting
On September 25, 2020, the first meeting of the Youth Climate Council (MRK) was held in Warsaw, which will act for climate protection and sustainable development. The meeting was attended by the Minister of Climate, Michał Kurtyka.
– I hope for a constructive dialogue and active youth action for climate protection and sustainable development with the activities of MRK. Together, we will create climate policy in Poland – said Minister of Climate Michał Kurtyka during the first, official meeting of the Youth Climate Council.
The head of the Ministry of Climate, Michał Kurtyka, noted that participation in the work of the MRK will be a time for taking initiatives and implementing ambitious plans in shaping and implementing public policies in the areas of climate and energy. – I would like them to be regular meetings that would allow us to penetrate as deeply as possible into the topics we deal with. Working in the Council is not only about participating in meetings, the most work will be the period between them, when you will work on your projects and work out common goals – he said.
– We will also involve you in the tasks that are already being implemented to protect the climate. The representative of the Youth Climate Council will be, among others a member of the Competition Jury as part of the “School with Climate” competition. We want this activity to be very broad – he added.
