The last batch of Bayraktar drones arrived in Poland, including six UAVs, three control stations, weapons and a training package. Budimex is to modernize the infrastructure that will be used to operate the aircraft.
The Ministry of National Defense announced the completion of deliveries of unmanned reconnaissance and strike systems Bayraktar TB2. The drones were purchased under the contract of May 24, 2021 concluded between the Arms Inspectorate and Baykar Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret A. S. Poland received the last fourth set, which includes, among other things, six unmanned aerial vehicles, three control stations, EO/IR sensors as well as weapons and spare parts. The contract also includes simulators, a training and logistics package.
Previous sets were delivered in the fall of 2022 and in the spring and autumn of 2023. The first instructors and users serving at the 12th Unmanned Aircraft Base in Mirosławiec and the Aviation Engineering Training Center in Dęblin have already been trained.
The Polish Press Agency reported that Budimex signed an agreement with the Polish military to modernize the facility for new Bayraktars. Details were not disclosed due to confidentiality.
