Gaz-System has decided who will deliver pipes for the Poland-Lithuania Gas Pipeline
Gaz-System has chosen Izostal as a supplier of DN700 insulated steel pipes for the southern section of the Poland-Lithuania Gas Pipeline. The Izostal offer, worth PLN 45.9 million net (PLN 56.5 million gross), was chosen as the most advantageous in the tender of Gaz-System for the supply of DN700 insulated steel pipes for the Poland-Lithuania gas pipeline (southern section) with a length of about 63 km. According to the specification of essential terms of the order, deliveries are to be made from October 1, 2020 to April 30, 2021.
Izostal took part in the framework agreement procedure with Gaz-System from August 2019 for the supply of pipes with a total length of about 1707 km for investment tasks carried out by the Operator.
Nord Stream 2 may turn into ruin, among others by Poles
Kommersant repeats the German Handelsblatt’s thesis that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project may be ruined. However, the reason will not be US sanctions, but the gas directive amended, among others, by Poland’s efforts. The German Handelsblatt made this thesis in February this year, announcing the possibility of new American restrictions. However, the gas directive adopted, inter alia, thanks to Poland’s efforts may be of greater importance.
Kommersant recalls the announcement of theUS ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, that the US Senate is to prepare sanctions against Nord Stream 2 quickly, if construction begins with the help of the Russian ship Akademik Chersky. Reuters sources argue that sanctions may be presented later this week.
