What goes in Poland on 29th of December.

According to information obtained by BiznesAlert.com, the law that limits onshore wind farms investments in Poland is to be liberalized. The amendments are to be revealed in January or February 2021.

The development of Poland’s onshore wind farms is undermined by the so-called 10H rule. It says that all wind turbines should be located from housing at a distance that is at least ten times their height. This means wind farms are off limits on the majority of Poland’s territory. This rule is to be liberalized by a project that is to be presented in January or February 2021. According to the updated regulations, in places where local communities support new onshore wind farms, it will be possible to limit the distance between the wind farm and housing infrastructure to 500 meters during consultations on the spatial development plan.
