What goes in Poland on 16th of February.

According to Reuters, the Polish oil tycoon PKN Orlen agreed on a new oil supply deal with Rosneft. It will decrease the import via the Druzhba pipeline from this Russian company starting from March 2021.

Reuters learned that the contract is to be signed by the end of February. Orlen is to import around 300 thousand tonnes of the Urals blend a month from Rosneft starting from March 2021 for a period of two years.

It is a drop by about 200 thousand tonnes in comparison to the previous Orlen-Rosneft deal. The reason, according to Reuters, is that seaborne import is cheaper. The contract is at the final stage of negotiations and the parties need to agree on a few, small details before signing the final document.
