„The Phase I of the Open Season 2017 for the Baltic Pipe project has showed the interest in realization of the Baltic Pipe Project and confirmed the sufficient demand for gas transportation from the North Sea through Denmark and the Baltic Sea to Poland,” announced Gaz-System in a press release.

Paik Un-gyu the new Minister of Energy of South Korea said he wanted to support Seoul’s pursuit of exporting nuclear reactors even if the country wants to limit the usage of energy. PGE and Enea are starting planned renovations in Poland’s biggest coal-fired power plants
According to Reuters, in order to conduct renovations PGE will shut down one of its 858 MW units in Poland’s biggest hard coal-fired power plant in Bełchatów. Similar works are taking place in the Kozienice power plant managed by Enea, where one of the units is being renovated. PSE, the Polish grid operator, ensured that the renovations have been pre-planned and the system was safe.

A conference on Orlen’s performance in the second quarter of the year was held at the premises of the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The company recorded growth in all sales segments. The concern achieved a record-breaking LIFO-based EBITDA at PLN 3.1 billion, an increase by PLN 0.5 billion year on year.
