PGE chose Projmors as its technical advisor on the maintenance port for offshore wind farms to be built in Ustka. The investment will be used to monitor wind turbines and repair teams will be deployed from it.
The Polish Press Agency (PAP) has announced that PGE Baltica has chosen Projmors as a technical advisor in connection with an emerging investment for offshore wind farms in Ustka. The scope of work includes carrying out technical and economic expertise and analyses, cost estimates of potential investments, preparation and opinion of project documentation concerning spatial and program concepts, functional and utility programs, construction, technical and executive projects and technical advice on procurement procedures.
The construction of facilities for the investments of the Polish Energy Group and Orsted will begin next year. The service base will be built in the western part of the port in Ustka, where a fish processing plant was once located. A service center will monitor the wind farms and carry out planned and emergency repairs of turbines operating at sea. Ships with servicing crews and spare parts will depart from there.
PGE is working on three Baltica offshore wind farm projects. Baltica 1 is the exclusive project of the company, while Baltica 2 and 3 are being developed with the participation of the Danish company Orsted. According to the plans, the first offshore wind farm Baltica 2 will be commissioned, by the end of 2027, it is supposed to have a capacity of 1.5 GW. Then, in 2029, Baltica 3 with a capacity of 1 GW and Baltica 1 with a capacity of 0.9 GW after 2030 will be commissioned.
