Within days or hours we should hear news about a decision on chartering a FSRU that is to dock in the Gdańsk Bay.

„I want to confirm Gaz-System’s commitment to the third infrastructure project, i.e. completing the Northern Gate,” said Gaz-System President Sławomir Hinc about the FSRU project in the Gdańsk Bay.

„Previously we had informed the media that we are negotiating with Mitsui OSK Lines. These negotiations have been closed. We are on the eve of closing a key contract for the FSRU, i.e. the charter of a vessel for storage and regasification of LNG,” Hinc revealed.

FSRU is to arrive in the Gulf of Gdańsk in 2028. It will provide Poland with 6.1 billion cubic meters a year. The floating storage and regasification unit will allow LNG to be collected and transmitted into the transmission network.
