The government can remove energy price compensation due to coronavirus

RMF FM radio informed that the government is considering abolishing energy price compensation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

We will have to answer this question. There was an announcement was, the bill too. In the meantime, an epidemic has emerged that verifies many of our intentions – says Jacek Sasin, deputy prime minister and minister of state assets, quoted by RMF FM. – We need to balance two things. On the one hand, these huge needs of the state budget to support borrowers and prevent a crisis. On the other hand, we have the situation of households – says Deputy Prime Minister.

Belarus is counting on accelerating talks about oil supplies through Poland after quarantine

Belarusian deputy prime minister Dmitry Krutoy told Belta that his government intends to sign long-term contracts for oil supplies from outside Russia. In this context, he mentioned Poland’s deliveries. In his opinion, talks should accelerate “after the abolition of quarantine in Poland.”

– In the current financial conditions, every oil supply is prepared very carefully. I believe that when we overcome all technical problems, we will be able to choose the most optimal of the options we have today and arrange long-term contracts – said Krutoj quoted by Belta.
