There is still no successor of the current President of the Energy Regulatory Office

Maciej Bando continues to be the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. He will remain in the post until the successor is selected.

Although his five-year term ended on the previous Sunday, the current head of the Energy Regulatory Office continues to perform his duties.

As the spokesman of the President of ERO Agnieszka Glośniewska, informed BiznesAlert.pl, Maciej Bando yestarday came to work. – I do not know anything about Maciej Bando ceasing to be the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. According to the Energy Law, the President performs his function until the appointment of his successor – she said.

On April 30, the Chancellery of the Prime Minister published an announcement regarding the recruitment for the successor of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. Although the deadline for submissions was 16 May, the name of the new head of the energy market regulator in Poland is still unknown.

The law assumes that entities involved in the construction of the disputed gas pipeline from Russia to Germany will be subject to restrictions. It prohibits the granting of visas to managers and shareholders with a controlling package in the companies included in the list of sanctions. It also excludes them from transactions under the jurisdiction of the USA, it also prohibits the export of goods and technology for the needs of companies on the list, as well as the cooperation of American entities with them.
