Piotrowski: Tauron’s new investments will help remove storms’ damages more effectively

Ministry of Development: Thanks to electromobility, Poland can become a field for e-buses

Volvo wants to face the needs of Polish towns more actively – electromobility issues were a subject of vice-minister of development Tadeusz Kościński and Ulf Magnusson, vice-president of Volvo Bus Corporation in Volvo’s factory in Wrocław.

Wrocław Volvo Buses factory receives more orders for electric city buses. So far – mainly from abroad. Now the Swedish producer that has its biggest European factory in Wrocław, will provide Sosnowiec with 35 newest hybrid buses and declares further actions for electromobility development in Poland.

Mass production of hybrid buses in Polish factory launched in 2010. Now Volvo offers a whole fleet of electrified buses. It is worth noting that Świerklaniec was the very first city that ordered hybrid Volvo buses, Inowrocław followed. Now Volvo is finishing hybrid buses delivery for Sosnowiec.

Andrzej Duda met NATO’s Allied Rapid Response Corps command delegation

Adapting NATO to new challenges and command structures reform were one of main of the meeting between Allied Rapid Response Corps delegation with the Polish National Security Bureau in Gloucester (BBN), England. According to head of BBN Paweł Soloch, president Andrzej Duda also met the delegation.

Soloch informed that current situation, Zapad 17 exercises and implementation of Warsaw Summit goals were among subjects touched at a meeting with ARRC officers and generals, out of which the British are a majority, but there are representatives of 23 NATO member states as well.

He added that the goal of the visit was „recognition of the situation in Poland”. – The delegation also plans visits in the Baltic states – said Soloch. He pointed that other NATO commands also take part in such meetings.

– The discussion was dedicated to directions of adapting NATO to new challenges once goals of Warsaw summit are fulfilled. We were talking about the need of reinforcing and collective defense plans consolidation – Soloch said.
