Prof. Jerzy Buzek opened the sessions of the European Economic Congress 2020. He spoke about the European Green Deal.
The host of the event decided that the great project of Poland leaving communism was over. A new project of this scale is the European Green Deal. – This is a project planned for 30 years, planned for several months. Above all, it has pro-development tasks. It is supposed to create new jobs and protect our planet from the destruction caused by the human economy – said Jerzy Buzek, former prime minister and president of the European Parliament, currently a Member of the European Parliament from the ITRE committee.
– In our discussions in Katowice, we must initially answer how we will deal with it – assessed prof. Buzek. In his opinion, the European Union’s economic recovery program must “stay ahead of the future” so that future generations will “consider it their own”.
