Polish Briefing: Gas sector liberalization in Poland is possible after Baltic Pipe is ready

Ministry of climate plans to liberalize act on hydrocarbon supplies which makes any gas seller in Poland to gather obligatory gas, oil, or liquids reserves for the sake of security of supply. Liberalization will come fully into force in 2023.

Ministry plans to exclude one third of sold volume from first of October 2021 and two thirds from first October 2022 when the Baltic Pipe pipeline is ready and Polish diversification policy reaches its goal of full independence from Russian supplies.
