Gazprom questions the procedures but will not challenge the price formula changed in favor of PGNiG

PGNiG does not expect Gazprom’s appeal against the arbitration award regarding the gas price in the Yamal contract to change the price formula, because the court will only examine the procedures.

– A general court will look at procedural issues, such as the choice of arbitrators. I believe that this will not affect our settlements and our relations with Gazprom – assessed PGNiG president Jerzy Kwieciński. – Gazprom had the right to lodge a complaint and took advantage of it. In our opinion, there are no grounds for setting aside an arbitral award – he added.

Kwieciński reminded that the March deliveries were already settled based on the new price formula. – This is a trade secret, but we do not hide that these prices are lower, more market-oriented – the president revealed. – Until now, we have overpaid for Russian gas, paying one of the highest prices in the world.

Poles and Spaniards join forces. They will provide eleven wind farm towers in Pomerania

The Industrial Development Agency and Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) signed an agreement on June 4th to strengthen the production potential of renewable energy sources (RES). Baltic Operator from the ARP capital group and Siemens Gamesa also signed a contract for the supply of 11 wind towers for the needs of one of the onshore farms in Pomerania.

The agreement is to serve innovation in this industry and the use of new generation offshore wind turbines. Ultimately, it will reduce the costs incurred by consumers. According to it, the parties will strive to implement joint medium- and short-term projects, and will also develop the most effective forms of cooperation between them or other entities from the ARP group, taking into account business and legal requirements – we read in the press release.
