Polish Briefing: Izera is to be an electric car from Poland | Coal phase-out in Poland is fake news?

What is going on in Poland on 28th of July?

State owned Electromobility Poland presented a concept of electric car to be built in Poland. It is called Izera.

EMP made a presentation of two car prototypes with Izera trademark. Both to be produced in a factory planned in Silesia, Poland starting from 2023 if EMP finds more investors and technological partners. Design was made by Italian Torino Design. Technic integrator is American Etrac Engineering. There are ongoing talks on car platform provider which is to be “one of automotive producers from Europe”.

 

Coal phase-out in Poland is fake news?

Ministry of state property responsible for rescue package for Polska Grupa Górnicza, the biggest coal company in Europe, which was presented by BiznesAlert.com states that goal of shutting down the coal mines until 2026 is “fake news”. The program for PGG presented to journalists on 27th of July was not discussed with coal unions.

Minister Jacek Sasin announced that a new program for PGG is to be created in dialogue with unions and politicians and presented in September 2020.
