A jubilee delivery arrived in Polish LNG Terminal
LNG Terminal in Świnoujście has received its jubilee, 25th delivery. According to Gaz-System, Qatari tanker Al Gattara arrived in Polish terminal.
Commercial LNG deliveries to Poland have been taking place regularly for 1,5 years. So far, deliveries from the US and Norway, but mainly from Qatar headed to Polish coast. The delivery is most probably an element of a long-term contract between PGNiG and Qatargas
The contract signed in 2009 is supposed to be in power for 20 years, until 2034. Based on it, Qatar’s delivers PGNiG 1 million tonnes (1,5 billion cubic meters) of LNG a year. Additionally, the companies signed an annex for the deal in March 2017. According to it, Qatar’s will enlarge the volume of LNG deliveries to Poland by 2 million tonnes a year (around 2,7 billion cubic meters of gas after regasification.
PGNiG is buying pipes, but not for Baltic Pipe
According to Kallanish website, Polish company PGNiG is preparing for purchase of pipes for Baltic Pipe, whose operator is going to be Gaz-System. The documents suggest that it is about pipes for drilling.
According to the website, Izostal company has been chosen in a tender for concreting the pipes and the works that go along with it. The purchase order cannot cross the limit of €18,4 million.
The fact that Izostal presented the most preferable offer for PGNiG could be read in company’s report, published at the end of last year.
