KHNP started inspecting the site for the construction of an NPP in Pątnów

The letter of intent of KHNP-ZE PAK-Polska Grupa Energetyczna of October 31, 2022 obliges the parties to assess the potential of building a nuclear power plant in place of the Pątnów-Adamów-Konin Power Plant Complex in the aforementioned location.

A KHNP delegation visited Warsaw on November 9, according to BiznesAlert.pl. Together with KEPCO, E&C started to explore the area in Pątnów. – The research group assessed the energy infrastructure, environmental and water conditions for the cooling process. The delegation also met with representatives of ZE PAK, including Zygmunt Solorz-Żak, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ZE PAK, and discussed plans for cooperation during the implementation of the project, according to KHNP.

The Polish government takes over Gazprom’s shares in EuroPol Gaz

According to the Rzeczpospolita daily, the Minister of Development and Technology, Waldemar Buda, at the request of the Internal Security Agency, decided to take over the shares of PAO Gazprom in EuRoPol Gaz.

The daily reports that the Minister of Development and Technology has established a temporary compulsory administration over the Russian entity – PAO Gazprom. – Radosław Kwaśnicki, an experienced lawyer and expert on fuel and gas issues, was appointed as the person performing the roles of the management board. The decision is to be made immediately.

The newspaper also reminds that after Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration entered PAO Gazprom on the “sanctions” list of persons and entities referred to in the Act on special solutions to counteract the support of aggression against Ukraine and to protect national security.
