Orlen shareholders agreed to the merger with PGNiG

The general meeting of PKN Orlen shareholders decided to merge the concern with PGNiG, the company announced in the current report. This is the penultimate step to finalize the merger.

– PKN Orlen announces that on September 28, 2022, the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Company adopted a resolution on the merger of the Company and PGNiG with its registered office in Warsaw and an increase in the share capital and amendments to the Company’s Articles of Association – reads the press release.

The Minister of State Assets promises 600,000 tons of coal to farmers

Poland is struggling with logistical problems resulting from the need to import all imported coal by sea in the era of the energy crisis and Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Distribution channels do not distribute it efficiently, and in some parts of the country there are queues due to concerns about shortages during the heating season. The government promises that there will be no shortage of this fuel, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin announces supplies to a specific social group, i.e. farmers, after talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture Henryk Kowalczyk.
