Labout unions: Emissions trade reform is „radically unattractive for Polish economy”
A project of EU directive reforming the European CO2 emissions trading system (ETS) is radically unattractive for Polish economy – rates „Solidarność”, who sent a letter to the key EU institutions.
Union’s letter was headed to EU Parliament, European Commission European Council and Estonian presidency in the EU Council.
Representatives of „Solidarność” point the need to re-negotiate the project, so it supports investments in coal energy.
According to „Solidarność”, the present project of ETS makes „a real threat for thousands people to lose their jobs, and could make the energy consuming industry go outside of EU borders and increase the energy costs for both undertakings and households”.
