PM Morawiecki announces further support for Ukraine and investments in defense
– Ukraine is affected by power cuts as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure – Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at the International Expert Conference in Berlin. There, he announced support for Ukrainians and investments in the country’s defense.

Poland demands a maximum European gas price
– When shaping the new legal framework, it is necessary to exclude solutions that would disproportionately increase the burden on the Member States, in particular for end users, said Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment during the meeting of the European Union Energy Council, which was held on Tuesday, October 25 in Luxembourg. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Adam Guibourgé-Czetwertyński.
– We expect an urgent introduction of a cap on gas prices on the wholesale market, and this was discussed today during the Council of Energy Ministers. A number of Member States, including Poland, had doubts as to some provisions of the regulation. It has been confirmed today that joint gas purchases will not be compulsory, informed the Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa. It was also agreed during the Council that further works on lowering electricity prices will be carried out. Common rules for the internal markets for renewable energy, natural gas and hydrogen. As emphasized by the Minister of Climate and Environment, some of the suggestions made by Poland have been included. – However, our country still emphasizes the need to adapt the development of the hydrogen and low-emission gases market to the infrastructure operating in Poland and the level of market development in this area.
