What goes on in Poland on the 14th of July.

Poland and the US discuss financing of the nuclear power

Poland is to choose a partner for the construction of nuclear power plants this year. Warsaw counts on cooperation with the Americans on the nuclear financing model.

US High Representative for Climate Policy John Kerry visited Warsaw. He spoke with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Poland and then with the government plenipotentiary for strategic energy infrastructure, Piotr Naimski, and the deputy minister of climate and environment, Adam Guibourge-Czetwertyński.

The Ministry of Climate informs that during the meeting, Minister Naimski and Deputy Minister Guibourgé-Czetwertyński emphasized that Poland appreciates very active and dynamic relations with the USA and counts on further cooperation, especially in the field of financing investments in the energy sector, e.g. with regard to the development of nuclear energy in Poland. In the opinion of the ministers, cooperation with the United States makes a significant contribution to the Polish climate transformation and the comprehensive modernization of our energy system.

Orlen and PGNiG join forces before the merger

Orlen Projekt and PGNiG GAZOPROJEKT will join forces. As a result, the former will increase the availability of its offer, and the latter will be able to provide services in new areas.

– Striving for operational excellence and improving the efficiency of investment projects implemented, we have started cooperation with another design company, i.e. PGNiG GAZOPROJEKT, which will enable the use of the potential and knowledge of employees of both companies. Our cooperation will also increase the availability of engineering services for PKN Orlen – said Marcin Kasza, president of Orlen Projekt.

The business activities of engineering companies from the Orlen Group and PGNiG are carried out in similar, often complementary areas of competence – based on design and consulting tasks. This creates the potential to obtain tangible benefits from cooperation, resulting from increasing the scope of implementation of new projects for the Orlen Group and generating operational synergies. The achievement of the assumed goals will be fostered by the fact that both companies have at their disposal similar, modern IT solutions used in the implementation of engineering works – we read in the release.
