What goes on in Poland on the 9th of April.

Poland-Slovakia interconnector will be built until 2021

– In the next month we will officially be able to announce that the gas interconnector will be established by 2021, in accordance with the agreement concluded with the European Commission, and in accordance with the agreement we intend to conclude this month with the Slovak side – said Sławomir Sieradzki, deputy director of the Development Division Gaz-System development.

During the 6th Congress of the Polish Gas Industry, Sieradzki pointed out that the Poland-Slovakia gas interconnector was co-financed under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF). He also stressed that Gaz-System is in the final phase of design work and talks with the Slovak side.

The Poland-Slovakia gas pipeline together with the gas compressor station in Strachocin is part of the Poland-Slovakia interconnection project. The goal of the project is to build a new cross-border gas pipeline that will connect the natural gas transmission systems of Poland and Slovakia.

The cooperation established between Gaz-System and Eustream is part of the strategy implemented by the Operator in the scope of active participation in the creation of an integrated gas pipeline network in Central Europe.

Polish companies want to start to operate in India

Polish companies from the mining sector will cooperate with each other in obtaining contracts in India. The relevant agreement was signed on Friday at the Ministry of Energy of JSW, Przedsiębiorstwo Budowy Kopalń PeBeKa, PFR and the Indo-Polish Chamber of Commerce.

As Deputy Minister of Energy Grzegorz Tobiszowski said on this occasion, after a series of meetings with the Indian side and its favorable attitude to Poland, perceived as a country with high competences in the mining sector, the Polish side decided to build an offer appropriate to the challenges of the local market.

The participants of the agreement are to cooperate in the procurement of orders on the Indian market in the mining sector, with the financial institution, consulting company and business organization operating in a given market participating in the new model.

“I think that we are able to build a new model of foreign expansion by building competences of Polish companies abroad. And I think that India is becoming the country where we start such an expansion “- said the deputy minister.
