Poland will send the first KPO payment application within the next few days

– We will send the first payment request in the next few days. This will be an application for EUR 4.2 billion, said Deputy Finance Minister Artur Soboń on Monday, December 12, referring to the National Reconstruction Plan (KPO).

After weeks of negotiations and talks, Deputy Finance Minister Artur Soboń announced that the procedure for examining applications for specific payments would soon begin. – We will send the first payment request in the next few days. This will be an application for EUR 4.2 billion – said Soboń on TVN24.

A representative of the Ministry explained that the application “will contain 37 so-called milestones, i.e. either investments or reforms that we will implement”. The Commission will have two months to consider the document. As Soboń points out, it is time for Poland to make legislative corrections.

Orlen companies will invest in oil and gas extraction in new areas

The Orlen Group obtained further areas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, as reported in the press communists. The start of extraction is planned for 2027.

Lotos Norge and PGNiG Norway have made the final decision to invest in oil and gas deposits on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Two new areas were acquired.

The Orlen Group obtained 2 new license areas on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, PKN Orlen reported. Lotos Norge’s share was 12.3% in the first case, PGNiG Upstream Norway’s share was 22.2%. The launch of hydrocarbon extraction from both projects is planned for 2027, the release said.

The decision was made on December 12, 2022. Lotos Exploration & Production Norge together with its partners decided to invest in the development of raw materials. Lotos Norge’s share in this package is 12.3 percent, and the operator on these fields is AkerBP.
