Polish Briefing: Polskie LNG will exchange knowledge knowledge on B+R with the Australians

Conference in Sydney

The Polish-Australian Energy Forum held in Sydney with the participation of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda was inaugurated by the conclusion by Polskie LNG and the University of Western Australia of cooperation in the field of knowledge exchange and technology development in the LNG area. Thus, Polskie LNG joined the leaders of global corporations cooperating with this scientific center.

The meeting was opened by the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Australia Michał Kołodziejski and Stephanie Fahey, General Director of Austrade, Australian Commerce Committee. The conference topics covered the characteristics of the mining and energy sector in Poland and Australia, the possibilities of cooperation within these industries between both countries, as well as innovations in the area of ​​sharing natural resources used today on the Australian market.

Cooperation with the University of Western Australia

The key event during the forum was the ceremony of concluding, in the presence of gathered guests, cooperation agreements between Polish LNG and the University of Western Australia. Signatures on behalf of the parties were submitted by the President of the Board of the Polish LNG Paweł Jakubowski and Professor Eric May from the Department of Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Western Australia, and also the Director of the Australian Center for the Future of LNG (Australian Center for LNG Futures).

– Cooperation with the University of Western Australia will be another, this time a milestone in our long-established relationships with Australian partners. We are counting on even more intensive and systematic cooperation in the LNG area, which will result in the transfer of knowledge in the field of innovation and technology, and consequently will lead to the implementation by us of the most effective and modern technical solutions in the ongoing expansion of the terminal in Świnoujście. We thank our partners for their trust and we proceed immediately to implement the provisions of the agreement. – said Paweł Jakubowski, President of the Management Board of Polskie LNG.
