Solidarna Polska wants to amend the distance act adopted by the government

Solidarna Polska announced that it opposed the current form of the Distance Act. Proposes changes in principle 10am.

Solidarity Poland is against the windmill act in its present form and proposes changes to the amendment. – We will propose a compromise solution – the party says on Twitter. It is to increase the minimum distance from residential buildings from 500 to 1000 m.

On July 5, 2022, the government approved the liberalization of the distance act, allowing the construction of onshore wind farms in Poland, subject to the consent of local communities. The 10H rule limits the possibility of placing onshore wind farms at a distance from buildings ten times greater than their height in practice in the distance act. Liberalization allows to shorten this distance after consulting local governments.

Poland and Norway discuss energy security

– Norwegian gas is important for maintaining energy stability in Central and Eastern Europe, as well as in Ukraine, which could receive such supplies via Poland – said Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskwa during a meeting with the Minister of Oil and Energy of Norway, Terje Aasland.

Minister Anna Moskwa emphasized that Poland appreciated the current strategic partnership with Norway in terms of increasing energy security in Europe, including in the area of oil and gas supplies and extraction. At the same time, she emphasized the importance of very good cooperation with Norway in the use of the Norwegian Funds, which are an important tool for financing the energy transformation in Poland, and in the field of offshore wind energy. – Norway is a stable and reliable partner in increasing the energy security not only of Poland, but also of the wider Central European region. This can fuel our energy transformation and reduce emissions from European economies, she said.

According to the Minister of Climate and Environment, the Baltic Pipe project is the best proof of the great importance of bilateral relations. Deliveries of the first volumes of Norwegian gas by Baltic Pipe to Poland will be possible in accordance with the original plans, starting from October 2022. – For many years we have been preparing to quit Russian gas imports. At the same time, we fully support the idea of an embargo on Russian raw materials and an even faster end to imports at the European Union level, she explained.
