Court dismisses appeal of EuRoPol Gaz on Yamal tariff

The Warsaw Court of Appeal dismissed the appeal of EuRoPol Gaz against the decision of the President of the Energy Regulatory Office approving the transmission tariff for the Yamal gas pipeline (SGT) for 2021. The court decided that the appeal against the decision regarding the approval of the tariff for 2021 will not be processed further, which means the tariff has entered into force. Gaz-System provided this information on the GIIP platform (Gas Inside Information Platform), where the operator publishes information relevant to the condition of the gas system.

The rates are almost 38 percent higher than the 2017 tariff, which has been in force until the verdict on settlements for gas transmission via the Yamal pipeline. It was the last legally valid tariff. Similarly to the 2020 tariff, the Regulator’s tariff decisions for 2018 and 2019 were contested by EuRoPol Gaz as well.
