The Poland-Slovakia gas pipeline has been filled with gas

Construction work to connect the Polish and Slovak transmission systems has been completed. The gas pipeline is currently gassed and its functionality is being tested. At the beginning of June, the first trial gas transmission to Poland and Slovakia will start. Final acceptance of the interconnector will take place at the turn of the second and third quarter of 2022.

A bidirectional gas connection provided by Gaz-System and EUSTREAM, with a total length of approximately 164 km, has been built and tests are currently underway to complete the commissioning of the entire interconnector. On May 26, the tests related to the achievement of the maximum value of gas pressure were successfully completed on the Polish section of the gas pipeline.

Tauron’s new strategy will be presented by mid-year

– We are finishing work on updating the strategy of the Tauron Group, it will be presented by the middle of this year – said Paweł Szczeszek, President of the Management Board of the Tauron Group at the conference devoted to the results from the first quarter of 2022.

Thus, the announcements from April were maintained, when Tauron said that it would present a new strategy at the end of June. – I think there should be a new strategy within a few months. I hope until the end of June – Szczeszek told journalists in April. He emphasized that the publication of the new strategy was not related to the work on establishing the National Energy Security Agency. – The strategy is not about that. We will focus on combining renewable energy sources, energy storage with solutions such as SMR – said Szczeszek.
